Dave Smith (He/Him)
GENERAL MANAGER & STORYTELLER
Dave has 20+ years of experience in customer service. He is passionate about the environment and reclaiming his culture through learning and sharing with you on one of our experiences.
Dave has a unique point of view on Indigenous culture as a result of growing up outside the First Nations community due to the “60’s scoop”. This “two-eyed seeing” approach allows him to see both sides of the relationship between Canada and his people and he has a passion to learn as much as he can to help facilitate better relationships between the two Nations as well as reclaiming his own culture. A self motivator, he feels at home in nature and spends a lot of his time researching and learning about regenerative ecology. He believes he is a steward of nature and is always looking for technologies and ideologies that further this.
This unique position affords him a point of view that allows him to share his culture and its history from an understanding that is uncommon. Dave is passionate about reclaiming his culture and sharing it with you.
Gail Bremner (She/Her)
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
For over 25 years, Gail Bremner has been a prominent figure in Atlantic Canada’s tourism industry. She is well known and respected regionally, nationally, and internationally.
In 2010, Gail incorporated Bremner & Associates, a consulting firm that focuses on assisting tourism businesses grow. With a proven track record in leveraging partnerships, building consensus and mentoring organizations, her counsel is actively sought.
Gail is extremely well connected with a proven ability to be agile and drive to a goal by building consensus amongst stakeholders. She has high output, is often referred to as the task master while also being able to be a strategic thinker. This is a unique skill set that serves Gail’s clients well.
When Gail recognized a gap in indigenous representation for her daughter in her hometown she decided to help use her connections and skills to help change this.Gail is passionate about sustainable growth, raising a happy child and giving back to the community.
Ellis Dingee (They/Them)
SALES & MARKETING
Ellis began with First Nations Storytellers as a summer student in June 2022, after having graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University. Their creativity and adaptability has led to a long-term position on the team.
Prior to working for First Nations Storytellers, Ellis managed several professional social media accounts over a 6-year period. They have been keen and capable in expanding their role to meet the needs of a growing business.
Learning about the Indigenous community in New Brunswick has been incredibly valuable for Ellis. Their ongoing commitment to diversity and equity has only grown in response to their involvement with First Nations Storytellers.
